Fun with Water Color

Image
I am having so much fun water coloring again this weekend! I was watching a video on YouTube (Hopefully I can find it again) yesterday doing a really cool technique I really wanted to try. The technique is called The Bokeh Technique  and there are tons of videos on YouTube and Pinterest if you need more inspiration 😉       I pretty much cased the color scheme from the video for this one, I really LOVED the colors! I love bright and colorful cards, so eye catching.      Anyway... I followed her instructions on the video to do the background and I did it on water color paper. You can also get a very similar look by just sponging but I am having fun and really enjoying learning to water color!  I also made a template using the Layering Circle Framelits Dies first of all.      I have to admit that the circles really pop in the picture, I didn't think I could see them that well so I decided to put some of my glitter mix embossing paste on with the brick mask from the Pattern

My Busy Card Making Weekend

I had a great day in my card room today... well... I had a great weekend in there! I managed to get a lot accomplished for my group and the Mail A Card Monday cards.      First thing I did was get my projects for group night as I have the first 4 coming this Thursday and had nothing done before yesterday 😲  The projects for this month are going to be pretty simple but I really like them!      The first is a cute little treat older done with the Envelope Punch Board. There are lots of video tutorials on YouTube and through Pinterest for those who see and like them.      The second is a card that... as usual... I cased from one I found on Pinterest. I really like the Amazing You stamp set & Framelits from this years Sale-A-Bration brochure.     These next 5 cards are from a Past Paper Pumpkin kit. It was from July 2016.  They are cased and the originals can be seen on Pinterest.  They are doctored up a little and using fairly minimal supplies.       These ar

Water Color Panda Party

I am having so much fun now that I have learned how to water color a little! I saw a couple different techniques on a YouTube video on adding different things to your water when you water color, like salt and bleach. I used salt on this card and it looks pretty cool. The colors are a bit dark but I don't think it looks too bad!       I did this one for a friend to give to her Grand Daughter for Valentine's Day! She loves the Party Pandas Set and wanted some sparkle... So this is what I came up with and she was very happy with it! It is dark but it looks very nice.      I will venture off to some different colors one of these days, my daughter would like to see it in blues and greens so maybe I will do something like that next 😉 I find myself grabbing my Party Pandas set for almost everything lately, it is just too adorable!      I have done 3 water color cards so far and they all pretty much have the same layout because I really like the look of it. But to create this
