October 2017 Paper Pumpkin

Image
I have not completed a Paper Pumpkin kit in a very long time! I Love receiving these kits and couldn't wait to do this months just the way it is! Normally I wait and see all the different creations everyone comes up with, the alternative ways to complete the Paper Pumpkin Kits. But then I  N E V E R   get back to doing them.      I am really pleased with this months kit! It includes 10 cards and it took me about an hour to do the works of them. I didn't think that was bad. Great for needing a few cards in a jiff 😉      In the photo I have 2 of the envelopes displayed... there is the awesome green plaid already inside the envelope but I still like to add a little stamping to my envelopes. Make someone smile when the see it in the mail.      View the Stampin' Up! video for the October 2017 Paper Pumpkin and see just how easy it is to create beautiful creations of your own! Welcome, Beautiful Baby Girl

Image
I could hardly wait for my Moon Baby Stamp set to come so I could make something for my friends son that just had a baby! Him and his girlfriend just had a beautiful baby girl on October 12th! She is such a little cutie, I  haven't seen her in person yet but I've been sent lots of pictures and she is absolutely adorable! We will try and get over to see her hopefully this coming week. I am hoping she doesn't see this post before we get over there but if she does, it's ok. She still won't know what's inside the gift bag 😉      Of coarse, as always, I found my inspiration for both of these projects on Pinterest! Click to see the original gift bag and the original card . I changed the color seeing as I was making for a baby girl and not a boy but that is how easy it is! I also used an entire sheet of the 12x12 for the gift bag. Gift Bag Instructions:      To make the gift back I just followed the instructions for the Large (L) bag. The paper is of c

Hearts Come Home For Christmas

Image
It's been a little while since I've been able to get up to my Craft Room to create a little holiday magic, but I managed to get up here today! I had been looking at everyone's beautiful creations on Pinterest as usual and I found a couple that I wanted to do. One of them is by Kelly Acheson  (landscape) and I pretty much CASEd it exactly 😉 You can find her video instructions on Pinterest as well.   I did change my color to Island Indigo instead of Bermuda Bay and didn't put the tinsel ribbon on because I don't have it yet! 😩 The other one (portrait) was also found on Pinterest and originally done using Hero Arts supplies but I prefer my Stampin' Up! stuff! I really liked how her card turned out so I wanted to try it using my supplies and I think it turned out great, I'm really pleased with it anyway... what do you all think? The sentiment on the sponged card has been retired for quite some time but is one of my favorites, Joy to the World

A Thinking of You

I have to apologize for my little 3 week hiatus since I last posted! Wow... Life can really get away from you sometimes 😏 I did however manage to make a card but not get it posted! I always have great luck in getting inspired when I'm on Pinterest. I found the original card there that I CASEd to make mine. I will also include the link to   Connie Collins Website where you can see her card. Mine is a bit different as I used different supplies. I was really pleased with how the wood background turned out! I hadn't used this stamp yet when I did this card so I think it looks good for a first time! Don't you think? I stamped the image using Early Espresso on Crumb Cake CS then used Cajun Craze and Early Espresso to sponge lightly in different spots to add some texture to the wood grain. I also improvised a little with the "Thinking of You" tag! instead of using Cajun Craze CS, I used Crumb Cake and tapped the sponge inked in Cajun Craze to add the
