Halloween treat Boxes

Image
With Halloween coming up soon, I am having a great time making treat boxes and holders! I am all by myself in the house today so I decided to head to my crafting space and play 😉      One of the cute boxes I found on Pinterest and tried my had at making it. The other was a pic I came across somewhere that inspired me to do a cute triangle box. I think both of them are just adorable... don't you!?      The triangle box with the cats can be different sizes depending on how big you want the box to be. I did do a larger box but wasn't pleased with how decorating it turned out so I didn't want to post it. *  The measurement for this one starts with a piece of DSP or CS, whichever you prefer, cut it to 3"x 7", DSP is a tad bit harder to see to score but it can be done 😉 *  With the long side at the top (landscape postion), score in the center all the way down. Then turn it so the short side (portrait positon) is to the top and just mark the center on both e

Carols Of Christmas Box Set

Its taken me a couple days to figure out what I wanted to do but I managed today to finally figure it out! I decided to do a Clean And Simple (CAS) set including 5 cards and a simply decorated box to hold the cards.  I am really very pleased with how it turned out and how fast it went 😊     We got an email at work the other day about a fundraising event for a co-worker. They are going through a tough time and have to spend 3-4 months in Edmonton during recovery. We are from Saskatchewan so being that far away is going to be rather costly.      I'm not going to be able to go to the event but I definitely wanted to do something!  In the email it said they are going to do a silent auction which is a great idea, so I decided I would donate something!      As usual, I spent a bit of time on Pinterest trying to get some inspiration from all the beautiful things everyone creates! I would have to say I don't spend near as much time on SplitCoastStampers as I used to... I stil

Deck the Halls Gift Card Holder

Today was a good day! Maybe not as productive as yesterday but overall a good day! I got 2 gift card holders that I am completely pleased with! I don't know about you guys but I usually have to do at least 2 takes before I'm happy. 😀      I really like to do Christmas Cards that are not traditional colors! Sometimes it gets difficult to come up with something different using the same colors all the time. I don't do it all the time but I really liked the card I saw on Pinterest when I was looking for something to do. Here is the Original Card that I used as my inspiration!      I hope some of you use Pinterest as much as I do to get your inspiration and find some help creating a master piece of your own. Hopefully even with my help 😉      There are a few things that aren't listed in the product list because I can't remember what they are 😂  Let me know what you think of my Gift Cards by leaving me a comment. Christmas Cheer Gift Card Holder

Last year I carried on my Mom's tradition of doing the 12 days of Christmas with my daughter. She had done it every year buy one since my daughter was about 2, I can't remember exactly when she started it... but I can't remember yesterday so... 😂 I decided instead of giving my 16 year old a bunch of stupid things she would likely never use and I would likely toss in the garbage before long, I would give her gift cards instead.  It was a great idea, it was a hit!      Her birthday is Boxing Day so we usually go shopping in the city seeing as it's still a pretty busy day for most families.  She was able to spend around $200-$250 in gift card money so it was all good!  I think doing it that way is a much better way of doing it, what do you think?      I thought I would get a head start on Gift Cards for this year as it is a great way to give a gift and still have the recipient have a choice in what to buy. I have a few people that like to have a few Card Holde

Spooky Cat Halloween Treat Holder

Image
I had a great time making treat holders for Halloween this year! I just love the new Spooky Cat stamp set from the 2017-2018 Holiday Catalog ! Creating all of these treat holders was so much fun! Unfortunately I had to use some retired products but most of you will likely have them so that's ok ;)  If you're like me, you stock up on things! I got the instruction for the test tubes (image 1) on YouTube, video by Wanda Smith ! Putting the link to her video is way easier that trying to type out the instructions.  The colors are Elegant Eggplant & Pumpkin pie Ink & Card Stock and I believe the bat punch is called Bitty Bat and is retired.  The little witch hat (image 3) & the pillow box (image 5) are also videos on YouTube by Julie Davison  and are just awesome! She cut the top off her Pillow Box but I kept mine intact and did the hat to sit right on the corner. I found a lot of my inspiration on Pinterest but everything was with retired stam
