My Monthly Planner!

Image
I love doing these Monthly Planners! I usually end up doing one every year even though I make it so that I can kinda use it from year to year. The plastic covers don't really hold up all that well. Here is the one I did for 2014. I used a sketch I saw on Pinterest, PPA145 , simple but very nice! The DSP is from Stampin' Up! out of the new Occasions Mini, Retro Fresh. There are no real instructions for doing this.... All I do is measure the inside of the plastic cover and cut the paper slightly smaller that what is measures. I took the staple out of the calendar and punched holes in the DSP after I scored and folded it. Then I put the staple back in, attaching the DSP to the calendar itself. Then you just decorate as you desire.... but don't put to much embellishment on it! Keep it fairly flat so the plastic lasts a little longer :)   Happy Crafting!

Gift Card Box

Image
I loved this idea as soon as I saw it! There is no way they would guess it is a gift card inside! This was the perfect thing to do for my friends son, we are exchanging gifts and I wanted his to be harder to guess at.   These are really easy to make and the Gift Card Box Tutorial can be found on SplitCoastStamper in the Tutorial Forum of the website.   This is the box closed. I put the ribbon around it to act as a belly band to help keep it closed and to have somewhere to secure the tag to.    Here is the inside view of the box. I used Icy Squares because it was easier for the box to close than to use anything else.  I used DSP for the inside piece but still wanted to add a little something so the little Merry Christmas was perfect. The inspiration for the tag came from a group of tags I found on Pinterest. I really liked the simplicity of them and choose one for this project.   Enjoy making this amazing project and follow my blog it you like what you see s

Christmas (Domino) Ornaments

Image
Decorate with these simple Domino Ornaments! They are very easy! All you need is a set of dominos, Jet Black Stazon Ink (#101406), Sharpie markers, some Crystal Effects (#101055) & stamps that will fit on the domino! Some of the images are not Stampin' Up! but most of them are. The sets from Stampin' Up! are Best of Snow & Polar Party so far. I also used some Stickles for the snow and glitter on some images.

Case Day Cards

Image
Today was a very productive day! I called it my "case day" as there were so many beautiful cards I've seen over the last few months. I managed to do 4 of the cards I had found on Pinterest to do. You can find the cards I did on my bored Christmas Cards.   This was the first card of the day and I chose to do it because I wanted to try this "Tea Bag Folding" . This fold was fairly easy compared to some of what I had seen. You can see the original card  that I cased on pinterest pinned to my board Christmas Cards.      Here is Case Day's 2nd card, changing it from just red to red & green. Check out the original card . Case Day's 3rd card, the original card  can again be seen on my board on Pinterest     Case Day's 4th and final card for the day. I am really loving these cards and will definitely be doing more. See the  original card  and decide which card you will case ;)

Beautiful Tea Bag Dispenser

Image
I have kinda been racking my brain to come up with a gift for a friend of mine for Christmas. She is fairly easy to think of things, but almost too easy lol. I was going to get her some pink Tupperware but that just wasn't sitting right so I decided not to. Then it hit me, I saw the tutorial for this on SplitCoastStamper and new that was what I was going to do! Just search Tea Box or Tea Bag Dispenser and you will find lots of them to use as inspiration. There is also lots of tutorials for different things, along with the Tea Bag Dispenser Box .   Here is a look at the front of the box. I had used old retired Christmas DSP because it had pink (her favorite color) in it. It is specialty DSP as the red is glittery but I can't remember the name of it.     This is a view of the top to show the cool fan fold flower . SplitCoastStampers is an amazing site for inspiration and tutorials

Festive Birthday

Image
I had seen this original card on pinterest and loved it right away! I thought it would be the perfect card to give a friend for her Birthday, her favorite color is yellow and she loves snow flakes. It's perfect!! I pretty much did the same thing as the original card but used different DSP & Ribbon. I just love how this card looks! It is retired Summer Sun CS & Ink along with the DSP (that I can't remember the name of at the moment), the other 2 snowflakes are stamped in Pumpkin Pie & Rich Razzleberry.
