Merry Little Christmas Simply Created Card Kit

This is an AMAZING kit!!! I got it with my starter kit when I signed up with Stampin' Up!
It has been hanging out in my craft room for the last 2 1/2 months.  So I decided to ask my Card Club ladies if they would like to do the kit for November. We aren't holding a group in December so I thought it would be perfect... 8 cards instead of 2. They all agreed so that is what we'll do.
They are a very easy card to make and I am all about simple and not too fancy but these are just a little too simple for me. I decorated them up just a bit with some inspiration of other & Pinterest!

I have to admit I messed up this one just a little bit... Hopefully you can't even tell. I used Cherry Cobbler to color the stamp instead of Real Red.... Oops!

2013 Advent Calendar

The Advent Calendar Class today was a great time! There was 5 of us making the advent calendars I had done a couple years ago. I made my daughter a new one this year and am going to spruce up the old one and give it to my cousin for his son.

These are great gift for grandparents to give there grandchildren. My daughter is 13, turning 14 this year. The other ladies did theirs for their grandchildren, ages ranging from 15 months to 5 years. It's all in what you put in them.... and I have no idea what to put in mine.
Like really! What do I put in each of the 24 tins for a 13 year old. I don't want to do all treats or chocolates this year so have to come up with some other ideas!

Here is the calendar I did at the class today

It is using the Festive Furry Specialty DSP from the holiday mini catalogue. The tins you can get at Michael's but white seem to be harder to find. They are wedding favor tins so look for them in the wedding sections of Michael's.

Here is the calendar my Mom did today at the calendar class
This one is using Season Of Style DSP from the holiday mini catalogue as well. She make her snowflakes with the festive flurry bundle from the holiday mini also. The CRICUT machine is what she used to cut out her letters & numbers.

Box Card & Tags

I am always unsure of what to give as a door prize as most of my ladies are just starting out. I also am just starting out as a demo so am always open to suggestions. I was talking with my upline (my Mom) and asked what I could give them cause they are new and don't have a lot of stuff yet, what kinds of things could I get for them. She told me not to buy stuff, make it! What a novel idea!!!
Between StampinConnection and Pinterest, I made this set. The instructions for the box was a video and a couple of the cards I found on Pinterest. I will try and get a link to the tags at least but not sure how to do the video. Here is the link for 2 of the tags on Pinterest  http://www.pinterest.com/pin/544372673678580410/

Here is the card closed with the belly band and the matching envelope if you choose to give it out as the money card or gift card holder.

Here is a view of the box card open with a gift card in it with all the tags. I hope they like it as their door prize this month!  :)

A Merry Little Mojo

I have to admit I struggled a little with this one. I thought I knew what I wanted to do but I was wrong.... Well half wrong ;)  I knew I wanted to do today's Mojo Monday Sketch #315, but I couldn't decide what stamp set I wanted to use. I played with 3 different set before I was happy with this one!
I am really pleased with how this one turned out so I'm glad I didn't settle for one of the other ones I had played with

This is the second card I am doing with my Card Club. The first one is going to take us some time, which is good seeing as they few threw both cards last month is just over an hour. That was including a shot break for a snack. So the second one I decided to do somewhat simpler.

Card Instructions:
Seeing as I can't seem to figure out how upload my instructions on here, I will just have to settle for doing it this way for now.

The card base is cut out of Cherry Cobbler @ 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, the next layer of Whisper White is cut @ 4 x 5 1/4, the next layer of Crumb Cake is cut @ 5 x 3 3/4.

The piece of Whisper White that has the snowflakes punched out, is cut @ 3 5/8 x 3 1/8, but that may very depending on the border punch you want to use. When you punch it make sure to punch along the long edge. My DSP is then cut @ 3 1/2 x 2 1/4.

For the ovals I used 3 different sizes of Spellbinders so you can cut to what ever ovals you want to use. To stamp the image seeing as it was a tight squeeze, I used the stampa-ma-jig.

I sponged around the large white piece with Old Olive classic ink, around the Crumb Cake piece with Chocolate Chip classic ink along with stamping the snow flake first in Baked Brown Sugar classic ink then a few more in Chocolate Chip classic ink. Finally I sponged the DSP and the piece with the image in Cherry Cobbler classic ink.

Now you can attach the large white piece to the Card Base, but don't attach the Crumb Cake piece just yet. Attach the DSP to the White piece you punched out then attach that piece to the Crumb Cake. Once they are attached, you can add the ribbon to look criss-crossed and finish attaching the rest of the card.

Enjoy

Twisted Christmas!

Wishing Everyone a Happy Thanksgiving Long Weekend!!!

I was able to spend most of today in my craftroom getting ready for my "Christmas All Year" Card Club. I am really pleased with how the first card turned out. If I can be so lucky as to have the second card turn out half as well as the first, I'll be happy :)

It's not a hard card at all but I am working on some instructions, at least for all the dimensions.
